Nice to have you back! I presume the Orange Void TM is indicative of Kate et al having to find somewhere else to work.
So, is Al off the hook?
I suspect it depends on what evidence survived the Great Bullseye Fire of 2015.

Paul and Kate are alive. Since Paul caught Al with the phone, and Al confessed that he had swiped it to Kate, the evidence is all fine. Al being off the hook would involve being forgiven as he rescued Paul.
As to Eddie's evidence…
Again – Al confessed. So we know Paul wasn't framing him. But, at the time he was caught, Eddie was attempting to.
By both real-world and narrative logic, this is going to blow up in his face.
I like how Kate tosses in the bit about Eddie’s foot falling asleep. She’s in that adrenalin-fuelled frame of mind in which all details are equally urgent.
Herman will probably throw in a generous “donation” in order to make the charges go away.
