So Paul is so damned doctrinaire that he won’t listen to Eddie’s side of the story?

Fairly accurate, though. Too many low level functionaries in businesses are taught to not think and mindlessly follow the script. I didn’t last long in phone customer support because I threw the script in the trash and actually listened to what the person on the other end of the line was saying. Even got a major chewing out because I gave someone who paid their bills on time for a full decade a whole extra seven days to pay the most recent month because it wasn’t in the policy. Paul has probably just been gutted by this attitude.

“I can’t believe I’m asking this, but…what’s it worth to you to reduce the complaint to ‘public defecation’ so I only get one write-up?”

Also, lol @”PAINTING.” Figures Bull’seye would be too cheap to buy actual paintings for their managers’ offices.
